Freight & forwarding · Khartoum, Sudan

International forwarding with reach and rigour.

PAW Freight & Shipping Ltd. is a Sudanese limited liability company and among the country’s early international freight forwarders. Since 2005 we have operated as a one-stop shop for air and sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and specialised logistics—supporting Sudan’s energy sector and domestic and foreign firms doing business here and beyond.

What we offer

As an independent forwarder we are not tied to any one carrier or shipping line—so we can choose the most cost-effective and reliable option for each shipment, from urgent perishables to low-priority bulk.

  • Air freight

Through leading airlines’ cargo networks we move consignments to airports worldwide and onward via our correspondent forwarders—from small parcels to full charters—with operations, clearance, and field coordination behind every move.

  • Sea freight

Independent of any single line or agent, we select sea services that match time and budget: high-priority sensitive cargo or economical moves where schedule is more flexible.

  • Customs clearance & documentation

In-house clearance at Khartoum Airport, Soba Customs Terminal outside Khartoum, and Port Sudan, including documentation and liaison with ministries, government bodies, and the Central Bank of Sudan where required.

  • Warehousing & storage

Facilities in Khartoum and Port Sudan with capacity on the order of 12,000 MT and up to about 4,200 m² per warehouse, plus temperature-controlled space (around 60 m³). We can also arrange fenced open storage with guards where needed.

  • Household goods & personal effects

Packing, labelling, and expediting by sea or air with destination service in Sudan— used by NGOs, embassies, and private individuals as well as commercial clients.

  • Supervision, projects & heavy lift

Field staff supervise in transit, inspect trucks and equipment, and report progress. For project cargo we draw on international and local partners—methodology, specialist equipment, and surge resourcing—for pipeline, energy, and relief-style programmes.

Why clients choose us

Our independence, in-house clearance, and field supervision are what set us apart— capabilities that supported major oil-sector and humanitarian logistics programmes as international forwarding in Sudan matured.

Selected experience

  • Lundin Sudan Limited appointed PAW as its dedicated freight forwarder in Sudan, with field inspections and equipment standards central to that work.
  • Norwegian Church Aid / ACT / Caritas: in December 2004 we signed for monthly clearance and delivery of relief cargo to Darfur through 2005—awarded in competition with other forwarders.
  • Muglad Basin pipeline programme: port handling for roughly 1,500 km of pipe, then import clearance and inland transport of six pumping stations supplied by Weir Pumps / Rolls-Royce to GNPOC.
  • Independent forwarder No exclusive tie to a shipping line or agent—freedom to route and negotiate for the best fit on each shipment.
  • In-house clearance Own customs personnel at Khartoum Airport, Soba, and Port Sudan with full documentation support.
  • Supervision in motion Experienced field staff follow cargo, inspect equipment, and report—an approach that attracted demanding energy and relief-sector programmes.
  • Project depth International and local partner network for complex cargo, including large-scale pipeline and pumping-station logistics and port handling of long-distance pipe deliveries.
